1. Rods are provided in straight strips to be processed or shaped by the customer into final parts. Forming is done before age hardening. Mechanical processing is usually after hardening. Typical uses include:
▪ Bearings and inch sleeves that require less maintenance
▪ Structural elements of resistance welding gun
▪ Core rods and inserts of injection molds and metal die castings
▪ Communication industry connector

2. Bars are also provided in straight strips, but in addition to the circular cross-section,square,rectangular and hexagonal are also very common.Typical uses include:
▪ Wear-resistant board
▪ Guide rails and busbars
▪ Threaded fasteners
▪ Resistance welding

3. Tubes have a series of diameter / wall thickness combinations, ranging from redrawn ultra-thin-walled parts, thin-walled straight-drawn tubes, and hot-worked thick-walled tubes. Typical applications are as follows:
▪ High-elasticity, high-strength pipes, wave guides and pitot tubes for instruments
▪ Bearings and pivot elements of aircraft landing gear
▪ Long-life three-head drill sleeve
▪ Pressure-resistant housing of precision magnetic field instrument and other instruments

An important use of rods, bars and tubes is for products that are used for resistance welding. Beryllium copper meets this industrial demand by its hardness and conductivity to ensure the accuracy of structural elements and the durability of electrodes. It is easy to manufacture in bending and machining, and also reduces the cost of resistance welding.
