It is reported that the Alaska mine in Chinoy will resume copper production after Chinese investors cooperate with Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation (ZMDC) and invest US $6 million.

Although the Alaska copper smelter has been shut down since 2000, it has resumed work. It is expected to be fully put into operation in July this year and reach the goal of 300 tons of copper per day.

So far, the Chinese investor, Dasanyuan copper resources, has invested half of its capital ($6 million).
